This week, Superior Recruitment Group extended our thriving HR Huddle Event to Sunderland, reaffirming our dedication to revolutionising HR methodologies and nurturing partnerships between HR and recruitment experts.
The HR Huddle Event offered participants an exclusive chance to network meaningfully, engaging with peers devoted to reshaping discussions in HR and recruitment. Jude Daunt conducted an enlightening masterclass titled ‘Understanding the Emotional Intelligence of your employees at all levels,’ while our esteemed guest speakers, Faye Docherty and Julie Turnbull, captivated the audience with their invaluable perspectives. With expertise spanning wellness coaching, project management, relationship management, and business operations, their insights left a profound impression, resonating deeply with attendees and enriching our understanding of HR and recruitment methodologies.

Jude, with extensive experience navigating clients and academy students, shared her personal journey on self-growth and hosted an open and honest discussion about understanding the emotional intelligence of employees. This masterclass involved addressing one’s own mental health and emotional intelligence, outdated HR practices, and what HR professionals can do to tackle these issues to better understand and care for their teams.

Faye, a dynamic and ambitious entrepreneurial leader, shared valuable knowledge about her latest endeavour in the charitable sector, raising awareness of the impactful initiatives undertaken by the Foundation of Light, the official charity of Sunderland AFC, through corporate partnerships. Faye spoke in depth about conflict resolution in the workplace, having extensive knowledge of the Skills and Welfare to Work sectors.

Julie, multi-business owner and Transformational Life and Business Coach, brought over 22 years of hands-on experience in corporate people and leadership roles. We were excited to learn more about Julie’s dedication to working with various levels within a business. She shared insights into her experience with change programmes, empowering teams during uncertainty, and fostering high-performance through the creation of energetic cultures.
The event showcased two components: a thought-provoking Masterclass led by Jude Daunt, and an engaging panel discussion featuring Julie Turnbull and Faye Docherty.
Jude’s masterclass delved into a personal narrative, exploring her background and journey to her current role. This facilitated candid discussions about personal emotional intelligence and the crucial understanding of both employee and employer needs.
This discussion focused on HR practices and explored ways to adapt them to meet the personal and emotional needs of employeres. It was a highly interactive session, with the audience actively participating through the Slido app, providing valuable insights on the questions posed to our panel of speakers.
The conversations revolved around what matters most to employees in the workplace, strategies for HR teams to enhance employee satisfaction, the importance of collaboration, and methods to improve workplace retention. Additionally, there was a significant emphasis on conflict resolution, offering valuable takeaways applicable to any business.
